Seattle Channel will broadcast five local short films this week that were made as part of the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ Water Calling series. The series is intended to raise public awareness of environmental stewardship and Seattle Public Utilities’ (SPU) work and was commissioned by the Office with SPU 1% for Art funds. Water Calling – Part I will air at 9:00 pm on February 25 and 26, and at 11:00 pm on February 27. Part I features Waterway (Britta Johnson), Water Lab (Susan Robb) and Displaced (Rick Stevenson). Water Calling – Part 2 will air at 11:00 pm on March 4, and at 10:00 pm on March 5, and at 9:00 pm on March 6. Part 2 features A Water Tale (SJ Chiro), and Space, the air, the river, the leaf (Luke Sieczek). Additionally, you can view all the films online now at the above link.
