The Stranger
If you were alive on July 20, 1969, near midnight on that evening you were probably watching the lunar landing on a grainy black-and-white television, or listening to Armstrong’s “one small step” transmission early the next morning. If not, you are most likely part of a generation for whom the footage served as a promo for MTV. Join the Northwest Film Forum as they commemorate this profound event for humankind with a 40th anniversary screening of the original television broadcast (at 7pm), followed by a live remix presentation in which filmmaker and sound artist Joe Milutis reworks images of major NASA events leading up to and including the landing.
