Seattle Times
Seattle’s summer swelter seems to be simmering down some. But if you really want to get a chill on, consider attending “A Taste of Iceland.” The four-day festival, running today through Sunday, celebrates our new direct-air link to Reykjavik and will give Seattleites a chance to sample Icelandic food, folk music, film and more. Tonight, head over to the Varsity Theater for a free double bill of the film White Night Wedding (which screened at SIFF earlier this year) and Rafskinna #3, a collection of shorts. Also part of the festival is tomorrow night’s performance by singer-songwriter Olof Arnalds at the Crocodile. For more information on the festivities, click the above link.
