Join Northwest Folklife at Full Tilt Ice Cream in White Center for the official release of “Clusters of Folk” ice cream (horchata ice cream with chunks of cinnamon and granola), featuring family-friendly performances by The Not-Its! and Caulfield and his Magical Violin. And make sure to try the new flavor; a portion of the Clusters of Folk ice cream sales will go to benefit Northwest Folklife. It’s all happening on Saturday, October 9 from 12-2 pm. Admission is free.
REVERB FEST LINE-UP ANNOUNCED

REVERB Fest is a massive conglomeration of Seattle bands and artists descending on Ballard at roughly a dozen venues around the neighborhood. Now in its fourth year, it’s hosted bands ranging from Fleet Foxes and Cave Singers to Maldives and Moondoggies. This year’s Fest is hitting Ballard on October 9 for a very low cost. Some confirmed bands include Caspar Babypants, Ivan & Alyosha, The Not-Its, Shelby Earl, Erin Jorgensen and Victor Shade. On Sunday, June 13 Town Hall will host a special edition of their popular Saturday Family Concerts series. The lineup features Seattle folk/rock musician Johnny Bregar; Caspar Babypants (aka Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States); the band of rockin’ elementary-schoolteachers, Recess Monkey; and the Not-Its!, a five-piece Seattle band with indie-rock roots. This might be “kids’ music,” but it’s kids’ music for everybody. Rain or Shine, the event starts at noon at Freeway Park on the corner of 7th and Seneca.
