Seattle PI
The time has come for all you music enthusiasts. March has rolled back around and that means bands from across the U.S. head down to Austin for one of the biggest and baddest music fests known, SXSW. It is one of the premier music events in the country and some of Seattle’s best artists go down to perform. And many of their fans and other music lovers in the Pacific Northwest also make the trek. Fans in Seattle acknowledge the rock messiahs and pay their tribute in large send-off parties, including these two: on Thursday Dyme Def, Thee Emergency, Grynch, Pearly Gate Music and THEESatisfaction will rock out the Tractor Tavern. And on Friday Visqueen, Hey Marseilles, Mash Hall and Fences will play at Neumos for “Hootenanny! A SXSW Sendoff.” Both are power-packed shows with some of the best acts you can find in town. Must see.
