THE OFFICE OF ARTS & CULTURAL AFFAIRS PRESENTS THE WATER CALLING PUBLIC ARTS PROJECT
Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs
The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs will present a range of public art projects this spring and summer, from Water Calling—featuring artists and filmmakers creating a series of temporary artworks and short films about water—to an artist residency in a Fremont Bridge tower. The Water Calling projects were commissioned with Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) 1% for Art funds. The projects reflect SPU’s stewardship of Seattle’s water resources, including drinking water and drainage, and the city’s Restore Our Waters initiative to protect and restore Seattle’s urban waterways.
