Out To Lunch
Summer in the City in cooperation with the Downtown Seattle Association is curating a the 2011 “Out to Lunch” free concert series this summer. The program consists of free concerts on Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 1:30. The hootenannies will go down at various open-air locations about the city including the Bank of America Plaza, the Federal Courthouse, the Harbor Steps, Park Place, Occidental Square, Two Union Square, Waterfront Park and Westlake Park. This is your chance to check out some of Seattle most amazing musical talent, scot free and under the summer sun. Artists such as The Moondoggies, Hey Marseilles, Choklate, The Maldives, Kris Orlowski and the Passenger String Quartet, Show Brazil, The Dusty 45’s and Seattle’s favorite funk band Wheedle’s Groove! Take a nice long lunch break and enjoy the positive vibrations in the sun with Summer in the City (of Music).

Out to Lunch
Grab your brownbag lunch and head downtown for the annual free noontime concert series. The series begins at noon on Friday with a performance by the soul group Wheedle’s Groove. Wheedle’s Groove was the subject of a recent documentary which played at SIFF and are on this year’s Bumbershoot lineup. The concert is right in the heart of downtown at the Harbor Steps, First Avenue and University Street, Seattle. It continues on Wednesdays and Fridays at several locations through Sept. 3.
