WashingtonFilmWorks congratulates Gabe Koutlas, the winner of the first annual WashingtonFilmWorks’ Oscar pool! As the winner, Gabe has chosen to the donate the $700 to Independent Feature Project/Seattle, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering a more sustainable infrastructure that supports independent filmmaking. When asked why he chose IFP/Seattle Gabe said, “After seeing Slumdog Millionaire sweep the Oscars I realized that you don’t have to have huge Hollywood budget to make a great movie. An organization like IFP/Seattle is just one of those organizations in our community that can help independent filmmakers get their project to the big screen.” Thanks to the more than 70 people that participated in the Oscar pool And for more information on IFP/Seattle visit www.ifpseattle.org.
