Cornish College and Vulcan Real Estate, two stalwarts of the near-downtown neighborhood, will present a series of free outdoor concerts throughout July and August in the plaza upstairs from Whole Foods at 2200, the building at Denny Way and Westlake Avenue. The new South Lake Union Summer Concerts at 2200 Series includes four Friday shows, each starting at 11:45 a.m. The lineup: July 17 — Cornish Jazz Faculty Group, July 31 — Byron Vannoy’s Meridian, Aug. 14 — McTuff featuring Joe Doria, and Aug. 28 — Jovino Quinteto.
