The Seattle Times
Seattle resident and musician Dave Matthews is well-known for his generosity. He has played benefit shows for Hurricane Katrina, Haiti relief, small farmers and Tibet. And now he is partnering with the website JustGive, a database of 1.5 million charities around the world, in an experiment in generosity. With each ticket purchased for Matthews’ two Seattle shows, a credit of $150 will be given back to the purchaser. This money can be donated to any one of JustGive’s charities. Matthews is testing the experiment here in Seattle before making it a national phenomenon. For more information about this benefit concert, JustGive or Dave Matthews, follow the link.
