Vera Project
Josh Powell, former Program Director at the Vera Project proudly settles into his new position as the Managing Director. Powell is a long-time all-ages music connoisseur, with a diverse package of experience in his back pocket. Cofounder of nonprofit The Bikery, Executive Assistant at NPower Seattle, and Administrative Assistant at The Old Fire House Teen Center only highlight a portion of Powell’s history and all strongly suggest the torch has been handed to the right person. Shannon Roach, who held the position previously, is moving on to a different stage: Executive Director of the Recording Academy’s Pacific Northwest Chapter. The transition period was carefully designed so that Powell acquires all of Roach’s seasoned know-how and hard-earned knowledge. Currently, Vera is accepting applications for the Program Director position.
