The site will be an online magazine style blog featuring youth filmmaking news, interviews and tools. Interns will also lead year-round festival Public Relations. SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT NORTHWEST FILM FORUM ON THE CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL

The largest children’s film festival in the Pacific Northwest, Children’s Film Festival Seattle celebrates the best and brightest in international children’s cinema with a 10-day extravaganza of films from more than 25 countries. The festival’s programs that include live performances, animation, features, shorts, historical films and fantastic hands-on workshops for the filmmakers of tomorrow. The internship is approximately 3 months, beginning mid June through early September. duties will include readying the festival in a multitude of ways, including corresponding with filmmakers, working with the festival director to prepare the printed and online program, helping to organize programs including workshops and the festival children’s jury, and preparing compilations of festival programs on DVD and miniDV tapes. Finalcut pro and website management experience needed. Hours are flexible but are during office hours (10am-6pm, M-F). A commitment of at least 15-20 hours of week is required. NORTHWEST FILM FORUM SEEKING VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Northwest Film Forum seeks an outgoing, responsible and detail-oriented Volunteer Coordinator. The volunteer coordinator is the liaison between the intern and volunteer corps at the organization and the staff. The volunteer coordinator works with the administrative and events staff to fill volunteer positions (administrative support, box office and concessionaires, projectionists, internships, film production, special events, work parties and the street team). This position is 6-10 hours per week and is unpaid. Northwest Film Forum requests a commitment to the position of at least one year. INTERN AT THE VERA PROJECT
The Vera Project
The Vera Project is looking for a new Outreach and Partnership Intern. The Vera Project is regularly approached about assisting with, collaborating, and co-promoting events with other community organizations. A key component of the Outreach and Partnership internship is the creation of a presence in communities that are outside of The Vera Project’s usual reach. The Outreach & Partnership Intern works with the Programming Committee to discern appropriate events for Vera to be involved with and then fulfill our partner responsibilities. This includes acting as a representative of and promoting Vera at events when necessary. The other half of this internship is to reach out to other organizations to invite them to partner with Vera on programs we are doing. Three Dollar Bill Cinema is looking for an Outreach Coordinator for the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Volunteer staff positions are unpaid, but are an opportunity to gain valuable job experience that can be added to your resume to better qualify you for a position in the film industry and/or with the LGBT community. Duties include developing relationships with nonprofit or relevant community organizations to encourage their participation as co-presenters; developing a list of interested co-presenters to generate film pairings; ensure co-presenters have the resources they need to get the message out about Three Dollar Bill Cinema and the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival; soliciting information from organizations for festival materials, such as images or mission statements; and more.
