Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival
The Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival (GS8) is a community based event dedicated to the creation and sharing of un-juried, amateur super 8 films. The Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival began in 2006 when local artists asked their neighbors if they would be interested in learning to make super 8 films with the intention of sharing one with their community. Catch the festival this Saturday, May 8 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm at various venues around the Georgetown area. Follow the above link for a full list of films, screen times and locations.

Hugh Jackman? X-Men Origins: Wolverine? Yawn. We’ve got better things to see tomorrow. Like the Georgetown Super-8 Film Festival. Screenings will apparently be at multiple venues, with final schedule and tickets available at ButtonMakers. An outdoor screening begins at 9 p.m. This is the fourth year for the fest, which solicits local directors to submit their work.
