Sportn’ Life
Seattle independent hip hop record label Sportn’ Life is going green, and therefore going digital. Sportn’ Life Records boasts local artists such as Damian Black, Fatal Lucciauno, Spac3man and Marissa and has been leading the way for independent hip hop for nine years. The label’s entire digital catalog will be on sale for the next 30 days, with all Sportn’ Life albums offered for just $3.99 each and a few freebies. All major releases will include digital booklets. When the album is purchased on iTunes, listeners receive the digital booklet with liner notes, photos, and more. In some cases, albums will be digi bundled with video; including music videos, interviews and behind the scenes footage. “Our fans are consuming music in different ways – mostly in digital format – and our digital campaign is Sportn’ Life’s way of responding to that shift by giving listeners what they want,” says DeVon Manier, the label owner and president. Check out the label’s webpage above and download some discount albums and support local musicians in the process.
