Seattle Presents with the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs is bringing a series of daytime performances to the City Hall this summer. Each concert starts at noon and is completely free. The first show is tomorrow, Thursday June 17 and features folk singers Kat Eggleston and Rose Laughlin. Attendees can enjoy a double bill of beguiling vocals grown from Celtic and American folk roots. Rose is “a true folk music chanteuse,” writes Sing Out magazine. Kat won Live Ireland’s Female Vocal Album of the Year, and the Chicago Tribune raves she has “…the soul of a poet but the voice of an angel, not to mention that the lady can play a mean guitar.” The rest of the series’ lineup is at the above link.
