Northwest Film Forum is seeking two interns this fall. The Development Intern to work with the Executive Director and Development Associate. Applicants must have a strong interest in learning about nonprofit fundraising and sponsorship development. Prior experience working with an arts nonprofit a plus. Interest in pursuing sponsorship and relationships in support of our annual Children’s Film Festival Seattle also a plus. This position requires 12-20 hours a week. The Children’s Film Festival is also seeking an intern. Duties include organizing special programs, welcoming festival guests, coordinating the children’s jury and compiling touring programs. CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE APPROACHING

The largest competitive children’s film festival in the Pacific Northwest, Children’s Film Festival Seattle celebrates the best and brightest in international children’s cinema with a 10-day extravaganza of films from more than 25 countries. The festival’s programs that include live performances, animation, features, shorts, historical films and hands-on workshops for the filmmakers of tomorrow. Children’s Film Festival Seattle 2011 will take place in Northwest Film Forum’s two cinemas, with screenings offered to both the general public and school groups. Dates for the 2011 Festival are Friday, January 28 through Sunday, February 6, with additional screenings for school and childcare groups scheduled Monday-Friday Feb. 7-25. All films submitted to Children’s Film Festival Seattle will also be considered for the 6th annual REDCAT International Children’s Film Festival, to be presented by Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theater in Los Angeles, California in 2011. Children’s Film Festival Seattle 2011, which will be presented in late January 2011 by Northwest Film Forum, seeks an intern. Duties will include readying the festival in a multitude of ways, including corresponding with filmmakers, working with the festival director to prepare the printed and online program, helping to organize programs including workshops and the festival children’s jury, and preparing compilations of festival programs on DVD and miniDV tapes.
