Don’t miss your chance to catch the first collaborative performance effort between Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and the Central District Forum! “Expatriate,” a world-class performance featuring dialogue, dance and live music in an exploration of race, friendship, addiction, art and infamy makes its final curtain call this weekend. From the show’s official release: [“Expatriate follows the story of] Claudie and Alphine [two] African-American performing artists who flee to Europe to realize their starved American dreams. CENTRAL DISTRICT FORUM IS LOOKING FOR INTERNS
Central District Forum
The CD Forum is a non-profit organization that presents and produces African-American cultural programs that encourage thought and debate for the greater Seattle area. While drawing attention to what makes African-American culture unique, they also seek to highlight its integral place within American culture as a whole. Their internships offer experience in the non-profit sector and allow interns to be a vital member of a small, high-intensity organization that strives for excellence. They are seeking people who are confident and have a strong desire to be part of a hard-working team. The weekly time commitment expected is 8-10 hours per week. A commitment for the entire season is strongly desired. They are looking for several interns, including an Administrative Intern, a Social Media Intern, a Program Intern, a Marketing Intern, and a Development Intern.
