The SXSW Film Conference and Festival just announced its short film lineup and among the 130 shorts is a hefty showing of Seattle talent. White Lines and The Fever: The Death of DJ Junebug , a short documentary that chronicles the career of one of hip-hop’s greatest DJs working in the Bronx in the early 1980s and his tragic death, is directed by Seattle’s Travis Senger, cut by Seattle-based editor Michelle Witten and was shot by former Seattle-ite Sean Porter. Also screening at the festival is the music video for Apes & Android’s “Golden Prize,” directed by Seattle duo That Go (Noel Paul and Stefan Moore). Noel Paul’s “Annie Goes Boating,” produced by Seattle-based Joy Saez, is also included. The film was shot in the Washington Park Arboretum and stars Davie-Blue (Bass Ackwards), Alycia Delmore (Humpday) and Alessandra Torresani. If in Austin next month, be sure to check out these films!
