NFFTY
The National Film Festival for Talented Youth is the largest and most influential film festival for young filmmakers that just so happens to be based here in Seattle. Highlights the filmmaking skills of people less than 22 years of age, the festival screens approximately 200 films during their festival, as well as hosting filmmaking panels, film contests, parties, and opportunities for young filmmakers to network with industry professionals and each other. NFFTY is currently accepting submissions of films in seven categories including features, shorts and documentaries. Film directors must have been 22 years old or younger upon completion of filming and must have obtained permission to use any copyrighted material. The first submission deadline is November 30, 2010 and the late deadline is January 11, 2011. For more information or to apply, check the link above.
