Seattle PI
Last night’s screening of Lynn Shelton’s $5 Cover: Seattle ended with a standing ovation as Shelton stood among a room full of some of Seattle’s best up-and-coming artists and they all gave their full approval with endless clapping, some hoots and hollers and plenty of whistling. Humberto Martinez from the Seattle PI got a chance to speak to Shelton before the screening. “It’s not a documentary, it’s a work of art,” Shelton said. “They came to me and said ‘what if you wrote something that was inspired by real lives of others’ and that’s what it is, an amped up version of what I’ve experienced.” To read full coverage of last night’s event and see pictures from the red carpet, follow the above link.
