Music Aid Northwest
Music Aid Northwest, a local music supporting non-profit, is attempting to create a “Music Matters” specialty car license plate. The proceeds from these plates will go to music programs in schools. It will be self perpetuating income stream for music programs paid for by music lovers who want to own a license plate with no cost to government. There is a moratorium on license plates which Music Aid Northwest is attempting to lift. To help in these efforts, Music Aid Northwest is inviting people to attend Judy Clibborn’s town hall meeting on Saturday, February 20th 9:30am – 11:30am at Hazelwood Elementary School (7100 – 116th Ave SE, Newcastle, WA 98056). Judy is chairperson of the transportation committee and she denied a hearing for Music Aid Northwest’s license plate bill. Please attend to show your support for Music Matters. Without a hearing the bill did not progress to even be considered by the legislature. If they can get her to allow it to proceed next year, our efforts will finally be rewarded.
