See the winning bands from the three semifinal rounds plus the “wild card” band, selected by the Youth Advisory Board, battle it out for first place at the Sound Off! Finals. EMP hosts the Pacific Northwest’s largest annual battle of the bands for groups under 21, Sound Off! Over the past eight years, the contest has launched young talent into record deals, tours and appearances at prime music festivals, like Austin’s South by Southwest and Sasquatch! at the Gorge. Past finalists Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head went on to open for Lily Allen, Dyme Def for Mos Def and The Lonely H for the Doobie Brothers. This Saturday, March 6, Candysound, Seacats, Great Waves and Hooves and Beak will battle for the number one spot, winning such prizes as a spot at Bumbershoot, equipment, studio time and radio appearances.
