Show Brazil!
Musician Eduardo Mendonça is an active Seattleite with Brazilian roots. He recently shot a joyous music video in Seattle for his song “Eu Ví o Ilê Passar.” The video includes footage from a half-time show Mendonça did last summer during a Seahawks game where he was joined by 117 musicians and dancers performing in front of nearly 66,000 people at Qwest Field. He has jammed with Paul Simon and performed at the Dalai Lama’s visit to Seattle in 2008. You can see Eduardo in quartet form (accompanied by David Pascal on bass, Josh Wilson on keyboards and Kohen Burrill on drums) play a free all-ages show at Kitanda Brazilian Café and Restaurant this Saturday, May 7. Check out the link above for Edurdo’s upcoming calendar with details on the free show, as well as his performance at the 2011 Northwest Folklife Festival.
