In light of the down economy, Bumbershoot is adjusting its ticketing policies for this year’s festival. A new “Economy Ticket” will be offered for the Labor Day weekend music and arts festival, for $22 advance or $30 at the gate. It allows patrons access for one day to all events on the Seattle Center grounds except the headlining mainstage shows in Memorial Stadium. If holders of Economy Tickets change their minds on the grounds and wish to purchase a mainstage upgrade, they may do so for $30. Economy Tickets are designed for “Bumbershoot patrons who prefer the robust and diverse programming found outside Memorial Stadium and throughout the grounds,” stated One Reel. Bumbershoot, which turns 40 this year, is a three-day festival of music, comedy, film and literary, performing and visual arts. It’s scheduled for Sept. 4-7 at Seattle Center, and the lineup will be announced later this spring. For more details as to ticketing options for this year’s festival, follow the link.
