Vista Andina
Freelance photographer and Seattle native, Adam Weintraub, is launching his first photography book, Vista Andina: A photographic Perspective on Contemporary Life in the Andes. This photographic journey travels the Incan terraces and bountiful fields of the Sacred Valley to the thriving streets and markets of the city of Cusco to traditional festivals and popular cock fights. Vista Andina was created to complement our understanding of Cusco and to reinforce that Cusco is not just about Machu Picchu and the ruins around the Sacred Valley but that it is an energetic and charismatic place with a proud and diverse people. It is an atmospheric illustration of the region’s people and their character. Weintraub continues to explore the Cusco region through photographic tours which he produces with PhotoExperience.net. Check out the book launch event on Wednesday, June 9 starting at 6:00 at the Photographic Center Northwest.
